ZX-13 is calibrated and tested to ISO 11189 (road vehicle tyre gauges) and SAE J1352. These standards specify accuracy, temperature performance, and drop-test resistance. Third-party calibration certificates are available on request.
Class 1.6 (±1.6% FS) standard, which equals ±0.29 bar on an 18 bar scale. Class 2.5 (±0.45 bar) is available for economy applications. Class 1.6 is recommended for commercial fleet operations where under-inflation monitoring is safety-critical.
Yes. Nitrogen (N₂) is chemically inert and compatible with all standard gauge materials (brass, steel). No modification is required. ZX-13 reads N₂ pressure identically to air pressure.
Press the bleed button on the side or base of the gauge while it is connected to the valve stem. Air releases slowly — release pressure in small increments (0.1–0.2 bar), then re-read. The bleed valve is the same calibrated orifice in all Schrader-compatible gauges.
Standard Schrader (American) valves used on passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, and most commercial vehicles. For French (Presta) valves on bicycles and some racing cars, an adapter is required (not supplied). For TPMS-equipped valves, use ZX-13 normally — it reads through the Schrader core.
Standard: 0–7 bar (passenger cars, 0–100 PSI), 0–12 bar (LCV/van), 0–18 bar (truck/OTR). Custom ranges up to 25 bar available. Dual-scale dials (bar+PSI, kPa+bar) are available with no tooling fee.
Store in the supplied case or a clean dry environment. Do not leave the gauge permanently connected to an inflated tyre — the sustained pressure stresses the Bourdon tube. Annual comparison against a certified reference gauge is sufficient for fleet maintenance shops.
The Bourdon tube reading is accurate across −20 °C to +60 °C ambient. At temperatures above +50 °C (direct sunlight in summer), note that tyre pressure itself increases with temperature (~0.1 bar per 10 °C rise). The gauge reads the actual hot inflation pressure, not the cold target — adjust to manufacturer's hot-pressure specification.
Yes. ZX-13 with the 0–18 bar range covers all standard commercial vehicle tyre pressures. The Bourdon tube is rated for 130% FS continuous overload (23.4 bar) and 150% FS momentary (27 bar) per EN 837-1.
ZX-13 has an external zero-adjust screw. For span calibration, compare against a traceable reference gauge at two points (mid-scale and full scale) and adjust if outside ±2% FS. Annual calibration is recommended for fleet compliance; ISO 17025-accredited calibration certificates can be arranged through Manogauge.
