The pressure Bourdon tube and the bimetal temperature helix share the same process socket. The Bourdon tube reads pressure via the outer pointer; the bimetal helix drives the inner concentric pointer for temperature. Both measurements are independent and do not interact.
Pressure: Class 2.5 (±2.5% FS = ±0.4 bar on a 16 bar scale). Temperature: Class 1 per EN 13190 (±1% FS = ±1.2 °C on a 120 °C scale). Suitable for utility monitoring; not for precision process control.
Standard: 0–16 bar / 0–120 °C. Other pressure ranges: 0–6 bar, 0–10 bar, 0–25 bar. Temperature ranges: 0–60 °C, 0–120 °C, 0–160 °C. Mixed-range combinations available on request.
Yes. A sealed central-heating system typically operates at 1–3 bar and 70–90 °C — both within ZX-14T's standard range. The gauge confirms that working pressure and temperature are within the boiler manufacturer's operating window simultaneously.
Standard wetted parts (phosphor bronze tube, brass socket) are compatible with potable water in most jurisdictions. Where brass is restricted (high-lead-free regulations), specify the 316L SS wetted-parts option. Confirm local water regulations before specifying.
Standard: G1/2B male (EN 837). Optional: NPT 1/2". The gauge must be connected into a tee on the pipe — not inline — since it senses pressure through the socket and temperature through the stem immersed in the fluid.
Yes, for utility and comfort-level monitoring. Replace separately when high accuracy is needed for one parameter (e.g. pressure transmitter + temperature gauge), when the instruments are installed far apart on the same line, or when only one reading triggers an alarm.
The outer (larger) scale typically shows pressure in bar. The inner scale shows temperature in °C. Both pointers rotate around the same axis. The face is colour-coded — the pressure scale in black, temperature in red — to avoid confusion.
Very low: visual inspection every 12 months, compare against a reference thermometer and pressure gauge annually. If pressure pointer is sluggish, suspect a partially blocked socket — clean or replace. If temperature reading drifts, perform external zero adjustment.
Yes. For steam temperatures above 60 °C, a condensate pot (siphon) must be installed between the steam pipe and the gauge to protect the Bourdon tube from sustained high-temperature exposure. Without a siphon, the tube will creep and lose accuracy within weeks.
